Wetland to Wave (3 nights)

September 10 - September 13
R8600

Step into one of South Africa’s most unique coastal wilderness adventures — a blend of wetlands, forests, dunes, and untouched shoreline.

The journey begins in the Wilderness, shouldering light packs along untravelled trails through wide‑open grasslands. Wander lakeside paths possibly tracking a black rhino or elephant or discover buffalo and hippo around the pans. At the Lakeside Camp, your comfortable home for two nights, you will ease into nature’s timeless rhythm while a hot shower is being prepared for you.

Traversing the Wilderness area allows you to appreciate the changing landscape of five different ecosystems lying parallel to one another as you approach the ocean.

The final night is spent at our Driftwood Camp deep in the dune forest, just steps from the ocean. A crackling fire, starlit skies, and waves rolling in continuously, before the dawn chorus of birds welcome the a sunrise filtering through ancient trees.
The final walk is along the shore of South Africa’s last truly untouched coastline where loggerhead and leatherback turtles nest in summer and humpback whales calve in winter. The last kilometres of empty, wild beaches are a Journey for the Soul where the memories will linger for a lifetime.
